Wakulla County Recreation Department 2017 Fall Programs   December 1, 2017 through December 31, 2017

All Programs will be held at the Wakulla County Community Center Gymnasium located at 318 Shadeville Highway, Crawfordville, Florida 32326.

 Adult Open Gym Basketball

SESSION DATES: Mondays: December  4th, December 11th,  &  December 18th (NOT on 12/25/17)

                               Wednesdays; December 6th, December 13th,  December  20th (NOT on 12/27/17)                                

AGES:                    12 and up

TIMES:                   6:15 PM to 8:00 PM

COST:                    $2.00 entry fee cost.

INFO:                     Open gym for pickup basketball games. 

                                                  Open Gym Pickleball                       

SESSION DATES:  Tuesdays: December 5th, December 12th, December 19th & December 26th 

                                Thursdays: December 7th, December 14th, December 21st,  & December 28th                                

AGES:                     12 and up.

TIMES:                     9:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

COST:                     $2.00 entry fee cost.

INFO:                      Open gym for self- organizing pickleball games.

Country Western Line Dancing   

SESSION DATES: Thursdays: December 7th, December 14th & December 28th.              

AGES:                    All Mature Citizens

TIMES:                   7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

COST:                    $2.00 entry fee cost per night

INSTRUCTOR: Bob Arnold, Certified by the National Teachers Association for Country Western Dance.

INFO: Looking for a fun, active, and good workout. The Wakulla County Recreation Department is offering a weekly line dance evening at the Wakulla County Community Center.

The Emcee has completed and has held certifications by the National Teachers Association for Country Western Dance and will teach and provide instruction for the evening. Leather or a similar hard-sole shoe is recommended.

 Zumba

SESSION DATES: Mondays:  December 4th, December 11th, December 18th (NOT on 12/25/17)

                               Wednesday:  December 27th

AGES:                    12 and up

TIMES:                    6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

INSTRUCTOR:       Gee Wilson

COST:                     $2.00 entry fee cost.

INFO:   A phenomenal, fun, and powerful ZUMBA workout. Participants should bring a towel, water bottle, and a positive willingness to succeed! Zumba involves dance and aerobic movements performed to energetic music. The choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue and mambo. Squats and lunges are also included.

Yoga

SESSION DATES: Thursdays; December 7th, December 14th & December 21st(NOT on 12/28/17)

AGES:               12 and up

TIMES:              6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

INSTRUCTOR: Dolly Moody, 17 years of teaching experience. Professional Kripalu Teacher.

COST:              $2.00 entry fee cost.

INFO:   Kripalu yoga is one of the many forms of yoga that is based on the philosophy that you should practice just as how you should live your life. Like all forms of yoga, breathing exercises (pranayama), poses (asana), and meditation are all equally important. But Kripalu yoga teaches that the body is the center of your being, and so you must learn from, as well as learn to accept, your body as your best teacher.
