EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:  Road & Bridge Technician III

The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Road & Bridge Technician III in the Road & Bridge Division.

Responsibilities include operation of heavy machinery and equipment; operation of large trucks to deliver or remove equipment or materials from job sites; perform maintenance on heavy equipment and vehicles; operate pneumatic tools; perform grading in the construction and/or resurfacing of roads; assist with miscellaneous projects as needed. Must be 18 years of age with a high school diploma, or its equivalent. Requires two (2) years of experience in land development, equipment operations or truck driving. Must be proficient in the use of computers and other general office equipment. Must possess a valid Florida CDL class A license. Must be willing to work overtime and be placed on-call when necessary and for emergency situations. ABILITIES: Most work is performed generally outdoors with partial time indoors. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Salary will begin at $14 an hour.
