EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES: Road & Bridge Technician I (Anticipated Vacancy)

The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Road & Bridge Technician I in the Road & Bridge Division.

Qualified applicants must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license, CDL license desirable. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the ability to use and operate equipment such as zero turn lawn mowers and other various lawn equipment to maintain sidewalks and holding ponds. Various saws to remove trees, jackhammers, or saws to break up concrete, black top, or pipe. Secure and partition work areas with traffic signs, cones, and or barricades; direct and control traffic at work sites, Perform maintenance on equipment and vehicles, etc. ABILITIES: Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.; work in various weather conditions; work around intense noise levels, vibrations, possible fumes, or noxious odors. Possible weekend work (rotating/on-call); possible holiday work and pass a drug screening and background check. Salary will begin at $12.73 an hour.
