The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is funding the project through the Northwest Florida Water Management District. The project is part of a comprehensive program to remove all wastewater discharges within the Wakulla Springs Basin. Construction began in Phase III of Wakulla Gardens in early 2023.
In addition, as part of the Sewer Collection Project, the paving of streets within Phase III of Wakulla Gardens is anticipated to begin after construction is complete. The local One Cent Sales Tax Road Paving Fund will fund the paving project.
Property owners within the project area will receive a letter in the mail in the coming weeks regarding the project. The letter will include an Access Agreement, FAQs document, and a letter to the homeowner from County Administrator David Edwards (all documents mailed to homeowners within the project area can be found in the document center at the bottom of this webpage).
