Wakulla County Announces Cleanup and Other Important Information After Hurricane Hermine

Crawfordville, Florida – The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners announce cleanup efforts after Hurricane Hermine.  The Lower Bridge Landfill will be open today, September 5, 2016 through Saturday, September 10, 2016 from 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m., “free of charge” for residents to dispose of green waste/yard debris and food spoilage.  The Lower Bridge Landfill is located at 156 Landfill Rd., Crawfordville.

In addition, for citizens still without power, a cooling and feeding station is setup at the Wakulla County One Stop Community Center located at 318 Shadeville Rd., Crawfordville, today, September 5, 2016 through tomorrow, September 6, 2016 from 9:00a.m. – 5:00p.m.

Lastly, all BOCC Offices will re-open tomorrow, September 6, 2016.  It should also be noted that all Wakulla County schools will be closed tomorrow, September 6, 2016 and will resume on Wednesday, September 7, 2016.
