Concerning Text Amendment to the Wakulla County Land Development Code

 

The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners proposes to consider the following application and/or adopt the following by ordinance and has scheduled a Public Hearing before the Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners on Monday, June 20, 2016, beginning at 5:00 PM, or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard.  All public hearings will be held at the County Commission Chambers located west of the CountyCourthouse at 29 Arran Road, Crawfordville, Florida32327.  All affected parties may appear at the public hearings, be heard, and submit evidence and written comments on the application.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF WAKULLA COUNTY, FLORIDA, CREATING DEFINITIONS APPLICABLE TO SOLAR ENERGY GENERATION SYSTEMS AND COMMERCIAL SCALE SOLAR POWER GENERATION FACILITIES IN SECTION 2-4 OF THE WAKULLA COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE;  AMENDING CHAPTER 5 OF THE WAKULLA COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE TO ESTABLISH SOLAR POWER GENERATION FACILITIES AS CONDITIONAL USES WITHIN CERTAIN ZONING DISTRICTS; CREATING SECTION 6-35 OF THE WAKULLA COUNTY LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE TO PROVIDE STANDARDS APPLICABLE TO SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEMS AND SOLAR POWER GENERATION FACILITIES; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Proposal:                            Text amendment to Sections 2-4, 5-25, 5-41 and 5-42 of the Land Development Code and creating Section 6-35 of the Land Development Code pertaining to solar energy generation
