September 5, 2007 County Schedules Budget Workshops During the first of two public hearings on the adoption of the 2007/2008 Tentative Budget and Millage Rate last night, the Board requested the scheduling of two workshops on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. and Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. to further discuss the Budget prior to the final public hearing on September 17, 2007. July 25, 2007 Wakulla County was the recipient of a $200,000 Florida Recreation Development Assistance Program grant to assist with enhancements to Hickory Park. Representative Will Kendrick was in town this morning at Hickory Park to present Wakulla County this funding. The Board of County Commissioners couldn't be more excited about this grant, and appreciate the Representative's visit this morning, as well as his championing of this effort to increase outdoor recreational opportunities and improve access to Florida's natural resources.
