Animal Control Officer
The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Animal Control Officer within the Board of County Commissioners.
Must currently hold a valid Florida Animal Control Officer Certification, including Chemical Capture and Euthanasia training. Applicants may be permitted to obtain the certifications listed above within 6 months of employment.
Experience involving intensive public contact is desirable. Possession of or the ability to obtain a valid Florida driver’s license. Applicants must pass a background investigation, driver’s license history, and drug screening. Must be available to work weekends, early and late shifts, periodically be “on-call”, and available on short notice.
