1 Location of Vessel of Opportunity training changes to WHS on May 24

Wakulla County Sheriff's Office, Sheriff David Harvey and the Division of Wakulla County Emergency Management has scheduled Vessel of Opportunity training for Monday May 24 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Wakulla High School Auditorium, 3237 Coastal Highway, Crawfordville. The location has changed due to needing a larger venue.

Participation in Orientation and Training Sessions
The captain and crew (“Contractor Vessel Party”) must participate together in the scheduled local orientation and training session to become eligible for the VoO program. It is recommended that the vessel owner also attend, but it is not required. During this session you and your team will learn the requirements to become eligible and active in the Vessels of Opportunity (VoO) program.

These sessions will include:
• Health, Safety and Environmental review
• Contract Review - A contract will be issued to the Contractor Vessel Party during the session. You are not expected to sign the contract immediately and are encouraged to review with your attorney if desired and return the signed contract at a later time. Your Contractor Vessel Party will be mailed a copy of the contract from BP at a later date.
• Your local community coordinator will instruct you where to submit the signed contract.

There is no registration and participants may come to the extension office. For more information, visit our web site at www.wcso.org.
