Wakulla County Fire Rescue

Wakulla County EMS operates three (3) Advanced Life Support transport units 24 hours each day.   Each unit is staffed by a minimum of one paramedic and one EMT.  There are three EMS stations; Rescue 1 in Crawfordville, Rescue 2 in Medart and Rescue 3 in Wakulla Station.

In addition to the transport units a Captain/Paramedic serves as a Shift Commander for each of the three shifts.  This service provides for an additional paramedic response when needed for an incident when all the ambulances are busy or more paramedics are needed on a serious scene.

WCFR averages in excess of 3300 calls per year.
