The Office of Special Projects works directly for the County Administrator conducting, coordinating, researching, analyzing, and reporting on special projects and specified intergovernmental relations projects.  Projects include the coordination and development, implementation and reporting of the County's state and federal legislative and economic development programs.

In addition, this office handles Enterprise Zones in Wakulla County. Wakulla County’s designated rural enterprise zone spans over 20 miles. The enterprise zone encompasses areas in Crawfordville, Panacea, St. Marks, and Wakulla Station. Jennifer Langston has been employed within Wakulla County Administration as the county’s Special Projects Coordinator for two years. In her current role, Jennifer handles a wide range of policy and program development activities under the direction of the County Administrator and is a member of the county’s Executive Team. In addition, she is the designated staff for the following key areas:

• Intergovernmental Relations and Legislative Programs
• Management of the Policy and Public Information Programs,
• Economic Development Coordination including management of the Wakulla County Enterprise Zone

Mrs. Langston has a Bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in Merchandising and was a graduate of Wakulla County High School. Jennifer has broad experience in State government, including staff service in both the Florida House of Representatives and the Governor’s Office of Policy and Budget. Jennifer is involved in numerous activities in our community and enjoys boating and family activities that include her Pembroke Welsh Korgi, "Kody". Jennifer lives, works and relaxes with her husband, Scott and their son in Wakulla County, FL. "It is a real pleasure for me to serve the friends I've lived beside for years to make our home a better place each day."
